Is this Media Allowed?
This list consists of the media we have already approved, and characters from these may be used in CC submissions for all events. We have also included a list of what we consider 'mainstream' platforms, and any media hosted under this criteria is automatically allowed.

These lists are not exhaustive! If the media isn't listed and you're unsure if it is 'indie' or not as defined by our rules, please ask in our >Canon Character Help< thread.

Mainstream Platforms

Any media posted to any of these platforms, and any characters from said media, is considered 'canon' for all CreativeClash events.

• Film: including any/all Animation and Live Action shows - Subscription-based Streaming Platforms (Crunchyroll, Hulu, Netflix, Amazon Prime, Disney+, etc) and Cable TV, officially distributed DVD/Bluray/VHS releases
• Literature / Comics / Manga / Webcomics - Physical media published via a distributor, publishing house, or sold wholesale; official publisher subscription-based sites/apps; and these specific, official subscription-model webcomic platforms: WEBTOON (webtoons.com), Tapas.io, Hiveworks, Slipstream
• Video Games - Steam, Playstation Store, Nintendo Store, Xbox Store, Google/Apple Store, officially published game discs/cartridges
• Podcasts / Audio Media - Spotify, iTunes

This includes media which is was distributed at some point but is no longer sold/produced, media that has not been distributed globally, and media that was intended for distribution but was otherwise cancelled or lost.

If the platform isn't listed on here then we do not consider it a mainstream platform.

• Any media posted exclusively to Itch.io (media that is also posted to a mainstream platform, such as those listed above, is allowed)
• Any media posted exclusively to Gamejolt or similar platforms
• The following virtual pet sites:
  • Flight Rising
  • Lioden
  • Subeta
  • Wajas
  • Wolvden
• Non-mascot characters from Vocaloid / UTAU / synthetic voicebank music videos. This would be characters that are unique to that video and/or producer, and are not an officially licensed Vocaloid mascot nor one of the UTAU or voice synth mascots listed above. This also means fan designs for voice synths are not allowed.
• Roblox - this includes any or all games/experiences published on or via Roblox.
• Clinical Trial
• Eddsworld
• Minecraft SMPs
• Nature of Nature's Art (NofNA)
